The house is empty, my heart is full

Wow. The household sale is over and we turn over the keys to a new owner on Monday. Where did the last week go? The last two years? The last eight years?

We have loved and cared for this little Craftsman bungalow every moment that we were here.  Did all of our projects get completed? All of our dream goals get accomplished? No. We never did get the stairs refinished or a wood floor in the tv room. But we have had a grand front porch for relaxing and chatting with great neighbors instead of working on those projects.

But that's okay. If you own a house, it's an ongoing process and there is always a to-do list, right?

The last sofa just sold and went out the door tonight...and this little house of ours is nearly empty. Tonight I'll watch one last episode of Fixer Upper before our cable gets turned off. We will sleep in our bedroom one last time.

And then we move onto the next very exciting period of our lives...we get to renovate our own little fixer upper that sits right on the shore of Lake Ontario.

We are thankful and blessed. And we can't wait to share this new renovation adventure with you!
